Jessica Fostekew UK Edinburgh Fringe 2017 show Jessica Fostekew returns to the Edinburgh Fringe this year with her fifth show, The Silence Of The Nans. A saga about a disaster at sea. Jess’ stand-up combines story-telling, characterisation and a perfectly damp, skanky cave-of-a-venue to transport the audience, with her, right in to the soggy drama. The Silence of the Nans is based on real events. A comedy-horror-story about a painful misadventure. Jess thought having a baby might hurt. This was so much worse, because this hurt in the SOUL, not just the tuppence. A surreal story of torture, entrapment, weirdos and wonders, and a missing frilly blouse. Jess Fostekew regularly hosts BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club and BBC Radio Comedy Awards (Radio 2), co-hosts The Guilty Feminist and stars in the BBC One drama Three Girls. Jess is also a writer on News Quiz, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Mock The Week.
