Legendary garage DJ and BBC Radio & TV presenter, DJ Spoony, has announced that he is bringing his high-octane Garage Classical show to The Roundhouse on 1st October 2021.
The ‘Godfather of Garage’ first premiered this live spectacular at the Liverpool International Music Festival in 2017 – his show was put together in conjunction with composer/conductor Katie Chatburn to mark the 20th anniversary of the music that swept Britain’s clubs and airwaves in the mid-to-late-Nineties.
Following the massive instant success, sell-out shows at The Barbican and Eventim Apollo then followed, with special guest appearances including So Solid Crew, Mike Skinner and Ms Dynamite amongst others. 2019 then saw Spoony take the Garage Classical show to the world’s most iconic venue The Royal Albert Hall for a stellar sold-out show that will live long in the memory of the UK Garage faithful. Special surprise guests included Craig David, Paloma Faith, Emeli Sande and the cream of the UK Garage scene to name a few.
Commenting on The Roundhouse show announcement, DJ Spoony said: “We’ve been fortunate so far to perform in three of London’s most iconic venues. So why not add a fourth? We return to the Roundhouse for a celebration of freedom, music and memories. Join myself, the Ignition Orchestra and very special guests for a night to remember!”
