NITRO CIRCUS LIVE RETURNING TO THE UK WITH BRAND NEW SHOW

Following overwhelming success of European tour in 2012

After a string of sell-out shows across the globe, the worldwide actions sports phenomenon, Nitro Circus Live is excited to announce that they will be bringing a brand new, death defying, spectacular to the United Kingdom in 2013.

In December 2012, Nitro Circus Live performed in sell-out shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester as part of their first ever tour of Europe, after bringing crowds to their feet across The United States, Australia, & New Zealand.

The response from the crowds blew organisers away, with London’s famous O2 Arena selling out weeks before the show and a total of 30,000 tickets sold across the United Kingdom.

“We really didn’t know what to expect, it was a new show in a new market and we weren’t sure if fans would warm to our brand of over-the-top stunts,” said Managing Director of Nitro Circus Live, Michael Porra.  “We were completely amazed with the result; tickets flying out the door and a 5min standing ovation at every show.”

In 2013, Nitro Circus Live will return to the United Kingdom with an incredible, brand new show in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

“We have been developing and perfecting this show for the past year in tours across Australasia,” said Porra.  “Fans can expect a whole host of brand new stunts and performers that will absolutely blow their minds.”

One of the craziest stunts in new show includes the extraordinary - hole-in-one - where riders launch 50 feet into the air off the Gigant-A-Ramp and attempt to land with pinpoint accuracy inside an inflatable Zorb ball.

The greatly expanded, 20-stop European tour will also encompass shows in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Russia, UK, France, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Action sports icon, 17-times X Games medallist and Nitro Circus creator, Travis Pastrana, will lead a massive crew of 40 of the world’s greatest action sports athletes in a show like nothing the United Kingdom has ever experienced before.

Fans will witness some of the most difficult and dangerous stunts in freestyle motocross, BMX and skate with star athletes from across the world performing their biggest and best tricks off Nitro Circus Live’s multi-million dollar set and famous 50-foot high Nitro Gigant-A-Ramp.

Not only will the Nitro Circus Live crew be performing the biggest tricks in FMX and BMX, they will also be pushing their limits and skill on skates, scooters and a range of crazy contraptions; including, a drinks cooler, Barbie car, toy trike, shopping trolley, boogie board and many more.

About Nitro Circus Live

The Nitro Circus brand, founded by Travis Pastrana, Gregg Godfrey and Jeremy Rawle has enjoyed a rapid rise to global popularity, started by the innovative DVD series featuring Travis and friends performing outrageous stunts and on a range of crazy contraptions.

In 2009, they partnered with MTV to create a new smash hit TV series produced by Godfrey Entertainment and Dickhouse productions, which has aired to huge ratings in over 60 countries over two seasons.

Nitro Circus Live was created through a partnership between the creators of Nitro Circus and Australian based sports marketing & events company, Global Action Sports, headed by Managing Director, Michael Porra. The first ever tour in Australia became the highest grossing action sports show in Australian history with almost 120,000 tickets sold.

In 2011, Nitro Circus Live performed a record-breaking tour of New Zealand, which out-sold global performing acts such as AC/DC. The sold out, one-off show in Las Vegas followed in June 2011 and in December 2011, Nitro Circus Live debuted at number 16 on BRW’s list of Top 50 Entertainers.

In 2012, Nitro Circus Live returned to Australia, and once again performed in front of over 110,000 spectators across the 5 capital cities.

In late 2012 Nitro Circus Live embarked on its first ever European tour, performing 13 shows in seven countries and selling over 155,000 tickets. The tour included Nitro Circus Live’s biggest ever show, performed in front of 28,000 people in Arnhem, Holland.

To date, Nitro Circus Live has sold over 580,000 tickets, bringing in in almost US$70 million.
