María José Llergo has firmly established her status as a national flamenco icon.

Born in rural Córdoba, the Spanish artist is a standout voice in contemporary flamenco, blending traditional roots she was raised with alongside contemporary electronic, hip-hop, R&B and jazz flourishes.

Having recorded two sessions for the prestigious COLORS, she later became the face of a campaign for fashion brand Loewe alongside Rossy De Palma. Her latest album, Ultrabelleza, was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the 50 best Spanish-language albums, honouring flamenco tradition while embracing new, innovative directions.

Last year, she starred in a sensational Tiny Desk Session and now heads to London for a rare live performance.
