Chess Club Live

Before Chess Club Records was established, Chess Club existed as a monthly club night in London that showcased the best musical talent from around the UK and beyond. The night was responsible for hosting debut or early shows for MGMT, Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons, Florence & The Machine, The XX, Laura Marling, Lykke Li, Michael Kiwanuka, Lightspeed Champion (aka Dev Hynes/Blood Orange), The Vaccines, Lykke Li, Michael Kiwanuka and Bombay Bicycle Club, among others. Chess Club quickly built a reputation as an incubator for undiscovered talent, and building on the culture and brand that the monthly night had built, Chess Club Records was born in 2007.

18 years later, Chess Club Records has released music from the likes of Wolf Alice, Jungle, MØ, Hard Life (fka Easy Life), Alfie Templeman, Billie Marten, White Lies, Sundara Karma, Coach Party, Swim Deep, SOFY, Mumford & Sons, and many more.
