Founded in 1986 by frontman Manuel Agnelli (singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, author), Afterhours are one of the most important and long-standing bands in Italian rock history.
The current line-up features Manuel Agnelli (vocals), Andrea Viti (bass), Giorgio Prette (drums), Dario Ciffo (violin, guitars, keyboards) and Giacomo Rossetti (guitar, keyboards, percussion).
The original line-up included Paolo Cantù (guitar), Lorenzo Olgiati (bass) and Alessandro Pellizzari (drums), later replaced by Max Donna. The band’s name was intended as a tribute to The Velvet Underground, and their song of the same name.
Their debut came with the single My Bit Boy (1987), followed a year later by the mini-LP All the Good Children Go to Hell, both released on Toast Records.
