British rising superstar Sekou has announced he’ll be making his UK live return with a special one-off headline show at London’s Bush Hall on 20th November.

This show will be Sekou’s first UK headline performance since his sold out Omeara gig in May 2024. Having previously opened for the likes of FLO and Reneé Rapp, Sekou is swiftly making a name for himself as an unmissable, captivating live performer. During his recent FLO support slot, the 21-year-old raised the roof at venues across the UK and Europe including London’s O2 Brixton Academy with a performance described as “perfect” by CLASH Magazine.

Today’s announcement follows the exciting news of Sekou’s upcoming mixtape, In A World We Don’t Belong Pt. 1, due to arrive the week ahead of the show, on 14th November. The five-track project will see Sekou share his most authentic version of himself, leaning into his growing list of musical influences and references to form his polished, signature sound.

Sekou returned in August with infectious neo-pop soul driven track ‘Catching Bodies’ which premiered on BBC Radio 1, swiftly racked up millions of streams, and reintroduced Sekou to the world stage. Follow up single, and most recent release, ‘Never Gunna Give You Up’ showcased Sekou’s ability to intertwine nostalgic and familiar melodies with an energising, modern twist as he takes the listener on a Motown-inspired sonic journey.

In A World We Don’t Belong Pt. 1 comes at a pivotal point in Sekou’s career, having taken the time to carefully craft the foundations for greatness. Sekou made the Top 10 shortlist of BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2024 poll, has completed standout performances on Later… with Jools Holland and 2025’s TIFF Tribute Awards, and also made history as the youngest ever BRIT nominee, with a Rising Star Award nomination. No stranger to connecting with his musical peers and inspirations, Sekou has collaborated with huge names in the game including Justin Bieber, Central Cee, Kevin Abstract, and recently earned praise from Elton John. Sekou now reaps what he’s sown, as he solidifies his place as an essential emerging voice in British music.
